Man... It has been a really long time since my last post. Over a year actually... Sorry I haven't posted in a long time mr. blogspot. I'll try to post more often now. I had a rough 2013 and I am finally getting all better now.
I drew these morning warm up sketches before work. Try and guess who they are. Enjoy. :)

Merry Christmas To All!
I drew up and coloured a Christmas drawing this year. I love the old Ford Woody from the 1940s so I decided to draw it in the style of the artist Georges Remi (Tintin comic book artist). Enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas!

Patrol *Coloured*
I coloured the drawing and tried to give it a washed out look. Don't know if it works, don't know if it's finished. I'll give it time before I look on it again and see how I feel.

Patrol
I started drawing some World War II stuff again. I forgot how much I missed drawing military subjects from this era. I was looking through Ron Volstad's illustrations and got really motivated and inspired by his work. I sometimes wish I could watch his process in making one of his illustrations.

Jam Sandwich!
Sooo, It's been a while since I posted. I'm sorry. I probably say that a lot. I've just been really busy with work. I'm back at Big Bad Boo working on a show called 1001 Nights. Lots and lots of long hours and weekends being destroyed...
On the side, when I do get some free time, I am working on 2 animated shorts. One is what I have been posting in the past (The Family Mart and the interior layout). I am still working on layouts for that short. They take time because I'm working on a small graphire3 tablet that frustrates me and makes me not so motivated to work on layouts. I dream of one day owning a cintiq and working on these layouts to the best of my ability.
The second animation short I am working on is going to be a fun flash style cut out short. I would eventually like to make a short once a month and put it on youtube and vimeo. I drew up some characters and it's going to be about these funny little mobsters during the prohibition in the 1920s. It's going to be really stylized and snappy animation. I will be collaborating with some my 2 friends I am working with at Big Bad Boo. They also have ideas of their own. We will hopefully be alternating on what short to work on together each month. I'm excited about this because this will be our "own" stuff and not some company's we are working for.
I'll post up some of the character builds soon for the mobster short, but in the mean time here is a chick eating a jam sandwich.

April Showers
I just finished up working at Bardel Entertainment on a show called Bob's Burgers. I am looking for new work and I'll hopefully find something soon, because I gotta pay my rent. ;P While I look for work I am also working on my background for my animated short. I'm about half way done colouring the Family Mart store. I really can't wait till this BG is done! I want to do more colourful BGs rather than technical ones right now. This one has been pretty technical and I am looking forward to just painting and not really thinking to hard. In the mean time I put together some WWII soldier portraits I sketched.
More to come soon!

Second Scene
I finally finished drawing the second scene. It took me forever to figure out and remember what and where all the stuff is usually found and located in a Family Mart. Thanks to my lovely wife, Aram, I was able to get lots of reference photos for products and things inside of the store.
Next step is colouring it. I have a feeling this is going to take a while too. But once this layout is finished the rest will go much more quickly.

Business Cards
I made this business card for my sister. It was a Christmas gift for her. She is an amazing makeup and special effects artist!
In other news, I finished working as a graphic artist and I'm now looking for new work.

Life Update
I haven't updated in a while. I am still working on the layouts for my short. I'm still working on the most tedious one. I decided to print it out and draw in all the details with a pencil and then scan it back in. It's much faster this way. I wish I had a cintiq!!!! haha I finished drawing all the bottles in the coolers (pop, water, beer, soju, milk ect...) Now I'm drawing all the candy and chocolate in the aisle. I'm also drawing noodles... Once this layout is done, I'm going to be so happy... haha
On another note. I didn't want to update without a picture. This is a model I was working on during the past summer. Never got to finishing it. Maybe I should? I was going for a cartoonie look. It's a German soldier from WWII. I had fun building all the gear on his webbing. I am a WWII fanatic and can't get enough of it. Maybe I will work on this again once I purchase a nice computer that is powerful enough to render out some images. Other wise, I'm going to stick to 2D stuff for a while.
OHH and by the way. I have a job now! I'm doing graphic art for a TV show studio near my house. I get to work from home too. It's a pretty nice paying job with no stress and lots of time to work on my own stuff. So I'm rather enjoying it.

Progress
I drew this guy up today. I have been watching Boardwalk Empire. It's a pretty awesome show and I'm hooked now. I am also working on the animated short each day. When I wake up till about 5pm. I'm working on a layout of the inside of the FamilyMart now. It's a tedious layout. I'm drawing in every detail, every product and item in the store. I'm almost done the drawing and will soon be colouring it. :)
